For those who love Pioneer Woman

I just happen to have in my possession an extra copy of "The Pioneer Woman Cooks", which is on the New York Times best seller list (hardcover advice category).
Oh, it isn't MY copy. The only way you're getting that away from me is to pry it out of my cold, dead hands when I'm deceased.
This is really more than a cookbook; if you love the Pioneer Woman's website, this is for you. Even if you have no plans of ever cooking again.
There are pictures of cows and horses and dogs and children. And cowboys. Pardon me while I have a moment of silence and reflection.
There's enough butter to send you into cardiac arrest. Don't blame me for that.
Here's the deal: If you enjoy P.W., just leave a comment telling me so. You can tell me why if you like, but it isn't necessary.
I don't have a huge readership, so I don't expect a lot of replies. I'll probably just write down all three or four entries on slips of paper and have Cliff draw one. If there should be more than I expect, I'll search out that random generator thingie that everybody uses for their drawings.
Very simple, very easy. You have until 6 P.M. on Christmas Eve to get your comment in.
(Did I mention it's autographed?)

I do love the Pioneer Woman's Blog. I wrote a long list of reasons why, but looked back and you said it wasn't necessary so I deleted it. :-) Pat~

  2. It's your fault I love the Pioneer Woman... I found her site through you! It was fairly early on, back when she only had the one blog. I remember reading the front page entries and liking them enough I went to her first entry and spent some time reading all the old entries until I was caught up ;)

  3. I'm not running in circles squealing, just so you know. Well....maybe I am a little, but you can't prove it.

Butter is my favorite food group.

  4. I LOVE Pioneer Woman, and am a member of Tasty Kitchen, thanks to you. I subscribed to her food blog about a year ago, I think, after you mentioned her blogs here on your blog. I'd love to have a copy of her cookbook!

Merry Christmas to you and yours, Donna. :o)

    Love and hugs,

  11. Put my name in Cliff's hat for the drawing. I'd love PW's cookbook - I've been meaning to find one to buy but with the busy holiday season that has been pushed aside. I do like PW's blog but really prefer yours - guess you are more "my kind of folks".

Merry Christmas to you and Cliff and your whole family - enjoy!!

I went to the Unity village talk and didn't wait long enough to get an autographed copy! How on earth did you get one? You don't need to add me to your list of ones to get one. I use her recipes all the time and the autograph doesn't mean that much to me. Although I have two daughters who would like one!

Wow...an autographed copy. I bought the cookbook from "me to me" since I knew that was the only way I would get one...lol! And I don't even cook. So it would be better if someone else who didn't have a copy could win this. The reason I LOVED her blog initially wasn't the cooking...it was the stories about the ranch accompanied with those photos. Cowboys! Horses! And that fact that she was wealthy (I remember the first post I read that gave a hint to the size of the ranch and the other place that they own...I was like: oh.I.see.now.) but she appears to be very down to earth with her whimsical writing -- that appealed to me. But it all goes back to cowboys and horses!! LOL

I am one of those lurking readers that loves reading your blog but usually never comment. I live in Gladstone and was all ready to go see PW when she came through on her book tour but ended up with bronchitis so didnt make it out of the house that week so I would LOVE to be able to win this book. Its one of four books on my Christmas wish list and they are all from blog writers.

Keep writing...some of us look forward to reading you everyday I'm at work :)

  19. I love the entire Pioneer Woman site! Like most blogs, I can't keep up with it as much as I used to, but her cook book is on my "want" list. :)

By the way, Merry Christmas to you and your family!

I love PW. I looked for her book yesterday at our local Walmart and they did not have one! It's the only bookstore within 50 miles of here. I thought they'd have one since one of the book tour stops was at a WM in Ar. What a generous give away! Thanks for the chance.

  23. I also like P.W. and didn't see her when she was in Kansas City. I knew there would be volumns of people and that my feet wouldn't hold out. She is a great cook and some of her recipes are ones that I know you and I used to do years ago. Please, throw my name into the hat. Anne

  24. Hi Donna, thanx for visiting my Blog. I check in with PW for quite a few recipes. Lazagna was always such a chore to make. Not anymore with her recipe. In fact, I have her Lazagna in the oven right now. Put me in, I would love to have her book. Merry Christmas to you and Cliff.

I Would love the cookbook for my friend Kim, she loves Pw. I found your blog from a comment you made on Pw's. Then I saw a picture of Rachel on your blog, and I worked with her at the photo lab. Small World!!!

  26. Looks like everyone's coming out of the woodwork for Ree. I started reading Pioneer Woman a couple of years ago -- when we still had AOL -- at your suggestion. This was just before she won her first Bloggie award -- what did they call it -- best undiscovered blog or something. But, it wasn't until I read her love story about how she hooked up with the Marlboro Man that I became a true convert. I go back and re-read their story from time to time. It renews my faith in true love. Meanwhile, I'm loving her recipes like everybody else. Merry Christmas from London by the way!!!!
