Old folks... gotta love 'em

First of all, there's THIS ARTICLE about a 92-year-old blind woman who refused to leave her home after an ice storm; and it tells about other hard-headed senior citizens.

Which reminds me of a ninety-five-year-old man who blogs daily. I started reading him four or five years ago on AOL. He gets up even earlier in the morning than I do, and he and I share a cup of coffee together every morning (he has tea for those who don't care for coffee). He's brave enough to put his phone number out there so any of his readers can call him. Peek in on Dad's Tomato Garden and tell him howdy!

I wonder if I'll still be blogging at age ninety-five?

  3. It just does my heart good to hear of people who have reached a ripe old age and still are able to be active. We have quite a few of them here in our town.

  4. I read Dad's blog and have been reading it for several years. I am sure you will still be blogging when you reach that age. Helen

  5. Dad's journal was probably one of the first I read too. Then comes yours as I was drawn to the fact that you are almost the same age as me...although I am older! I am getting much older this winter too. It is aging me with each snow storm we have. I keep on trying but this weather is getting almost unbearable. Shoveling snow with my old back is for the birds for sure. I'm thinking Spring, but it seems very far off right now. Another 8 inches so far this morning. 'On Ya'-ma
