For any who are curious: I didn't go looking for a sponsor. I received a very cordial email from a lady asking if I would be interested in having one.
She told me all I had to do was put an ad on my blog, and then she let me see an example of what it would look like.
There was a series of emailed messages between us discussing the size of the ad and how much I would be paid.
It didn't look like any big deal to me, and since I stood to receive enough cash via Paypal to buy groceries around here for a couple weeks in return for a small ad appearing on my blog for one year, I agreed. I wasn't required to have that heading that says "my sponsor"; I just thought it would be nice to put it there.
I've had the little Google ads for at least two years and I'm just now up to $55 earned with them. And they don't pay until I get up to $100.
I won't be getting rich off ads, that's for sure. I'm too lazy to even spruce up this website; anything beyond replacing the header two or three times a year is just too much work to suit me.
That's awesome!!!
ReplyDeleteRight after I'd done my second entry on my new blog someone emailed me about advertising what she called: productios with a tasteful elder-aim. Ha Ha Ha. I had visions of writing entries about my beloved Dad with Depends & Lipitor ads circling the entries.
ReplyDeleteNO Thanks!~Mary
I think this is wonderful - Now days ever penny counts. Take care and enjoy,

ReplyDeleteGood for you. LOL I actually used them in the past. I have had cards and stationary printed
ReplyDeleteI like the idea that all you have to do is post the ad for one year! I think that is wonderful!!! Anything to help make life smoother these days if done honestly is worth doing.
