A coming depression?

Cliff says almost daily, "This thing will affect us before it's done." Of course in small ways, it already has.

While his job appears secure at present, we know about that old snowball effect. Who knows where it will stop?

Meesha, at Kansas City with the Russian Accent, addresses this topic, and there's quite an interesting discussion in the comment section of his entry from yesterday. If you'd like to check it out and perhaps add your opinion in comment, it's HERE.

Of course, we all know that "the only thing we have to fear is fear itself".

  1. We're feeling the pinch too, David has been doing home renovations for years and it's slowed to a standstill for the past few months. In a way it's a good thing as he's been talking for the past year or so of finding another profession so this is forcing him to do it. He's signing up for a CNA course this week and is very excited about the prospect.

  2. I think we'll all learn alot before we are done and many will change their way of living. Those that haven't done that already will probably wish they had. But life will go on and we'll do the best we can with what we have. One day at a time is my motto. No use worrying about tomorrow. After hearing of all the ice storms I'm glad to see you online this morning hopefully that means your area wasn't hit. Lots were without power last night on the news

  4. I think this is the tip of a very large iceberg. The midwest is really the last to feel the effects. West coast, Southwest, major cities......they are really suffering. Doc has cut back of the many perks his employees have had...like getting paid and not having to work when he is on vacation. The women are aghast! It's time for everybody to wake up and smell the coffee; while there is still coffee to smell! Anne
