Welcome, Pioneer Woman fans

I left a comment on Ree's blog this morning and have since been visited by dozens of my fellow PW fans, according to my Sitemeter.  Strange, I leave comments there frequently, but I never got so many referrals before.

One of my readers had a free subscription deal to Reader's Digest, so she gifted me with it back around Christmas time.  I got the first issue today, and there's an article featured on the cover that tells me I can eat all the bacon and eggs I want... it's good for my heart!  It appears to be a new version of the Atkins diet.  Do you know of anyone who lost weight on Atkins and kept it off?  I don't.
In weather news, I'd say we have about six inches of snow now, and there's supposedly more coming.  We really do need the moisture.  Here's hoping all relatives get home from work safely.  I won't have to worry about Cliff; Tony, the guy he rides to work with, decided to take a day off, so Cliff did too.

  1. I'm glad Cliff took a snow day off work. I've been hearing on the news how bad some places have been hit with the snow and freezing ice too.

  2. That is the problem with the Atkins. You can never eat carbs again.

  4. We're getting snow too! I'm glad to see the dirty, half melted brown stuff redecorated in sparkling white.

  5. Yep, we've had about a foot so far. I've spent the day starting tractors and blowing snow, and shoveling, and running little 24" blowers and my nine foot blower. I fell on some ice at dusk tonight and I feel like I've been hit by a truck.
My wife bought some garden seeds while at the store today. She's nuts.

  6. We have been waiting for snow since midnight...still no snow. I'm glad Cliff was able to stay home today. I'm like you, I know some people who have been on the Atkins Diet, but gained it all back, when they went off the diet. I don't like eating meat well enough to go on that diet. It's always a struggle trying to lose weight, and keep it off. I hate dieting!!! LOL, but I should be doing it. Have a wonderful evening, and stay warm.
    Hugs,
    Pat

  7. I left a comment on Ree's blog about her chicken and dumplings. I told her that was not the way we made them in the south! After I hit the send button I thought, "Oh God! I'm going to get hate mail!" but nothing happened. I've lost my site meter - I mean it's there but I have forgotten the pass word. I have it archived somoewhere but it all just does not matter anymore! lol! No body reads me! BTW, there is a tracker on Blogger and guess who sends me the most traffic? YOU!!
