Oh no, not another Sadie video!

I know, I know. Nobody is as interested in my mutt as I am. However, I'm rather proud of what Sadie's been learning the past couple of days. She has this tug-rope that we call her "toss". I put her in my bedroom, shut the door, and hide her toss. Then I let her out and she finds it. So far I've limited the hiding places to the living room and kitchen, but later I'll expand it to my computer room and the guest bedroom. I think Sadie would make a good drug-sniffing dog, don't you?

  1. MORE MORE!!! She could find that "toss" if you burried it underground. You are a great teacher and btw, you have a very soothing and pleasant voice! Anne

  2. I love your new game. I'm sitting here chuckling away. It's almost like she knew it was there anyway and just looked around pretending she didn't. What a sweetheart she is. You just gotta love her!

  5. That was a cute game. You can tell Sadie likes it. Makes me think of my daughter when she was little playing hide and seek with our poodle. She would throw her ball in another room them hide herself and let Prissy find her. The poodle would actually hold her breath so she could hear any sounds my daughter made. When she giggled then she was easily found LOL.
You are so good to that dog and she has a wonderful home with someone who loves her. Helen

  6. Now that was cute. It reminds me of a cat I had a long time ago. We used to play tag. She'd see me coming and hide until I passed, and then she'd hop out and 'tag' my foot. I'd then chase her until I had her in a corner and then I'd run. She'd follow until I hopped out at her. We played this a lot. The funny thing is I never thought she was too smart until I tried to train a later cat to play. This one was smart, but no matter how hard I tried, she wasn't interested.

  8. Years ago Dear Hubby and I had a Black Lab he'd trained from a pup for duck hunting. We lived in a place with woods behind it and no matter where or how far we tossed her training dummy in to those woods, even having her sit with her back to them as we tossed it, Cindy could find it. And the woods were filled with deep underbrush. Dogs are simply amazing!

  11. Oh she IS good! This brought back memories of another dog that belonged to a friend of mine. That lab had a "baby". Baby was an old gym sock stuffed full of other old hole filled socks and discarded rags. That dog LOVED her "baby" and could find that thing no matter where you hid it. I remember one time we quietly slid Baby up her dad's pant leg as he snoozed in his recliner. I thought I would pee my pants from laughing so hard when we set that lab loose to look for her baby.
