Would you like to know what your dog REALLY is?

Kansas City's Fox 4 TV had a news item tonight that jumped out at me:  You can have your mutt DNA tested to find out what breeds are in her background.  Or you can get your purebred dog DNA tested to see if she's really purebred.
I've always wondered what breeds are in Sadie's background, and I'd love to have this done.  Unfortunately, I don't feel like spending $135 to find out.
You can read the article HERE.

  1. I've always had mutts for dogs except one poodle and he bit the paperboy so I had to give him away. Now we don't have dogs as we are on the road a lot for business and I hate boarding them at a kennel as they always seem to catch something.

I play the weight battle with my horses too. Three of them are over weight from this easy winter that we have had. The forth, Nick, can eat all he wants as he is half thoroughbred and just doesn't seem to put on weight, stays about the same which is just right. I got 132 lbs. off Lil' Bud last summer but I bet he's gained most of it back this winter. Buddy was horrible about gaining weight, constant battle, about like me. I decided not to put the ticker on my sidebar as I don't seem to have lost an ounce even with cutting down.......sigh.......the Hubs has lost 6 or 7 pounds.

Didn't mean to ramble on so.

  2. Ken and I were talking just this week wondering what kind of mixes were in our dogs. I told him the mixes seems to be the smartest. Just like Sadie is smart. Just my humble opinion of course. Helen

I wonder if this will change the American Kennel Club?
