I'm sorry about the post I deleted. I knew when I wrote it that I'd delete it in an hour or so. It was a vent about my noisy neighborhood. It's risky to say too much about neighbors on the Internet, but I feel so much better when I've put my feelings in words that I posted it, saw that a few people had read it and that one had even commented on it, and then got rid of it. Well, actually I didn't delete it: I chose the "Save as draft" option. I would start a private blog for such nonsense, but I'd only use it perhaps a couple of times a year. Why bother?
As for dinner: I hate to waste food, so I nuked the roast for a minute in the microwave. I didn't want it to age any longer; we don't need food poisoning. I used part of the mashed potatoes and made potato patties just because I love them so much. The rest of the potatoes went into the trash; if we'd had any gravy left from Saturday, I'd have warmed up potatoes in the microwave; but without gravy, they held no attraction. And I opened a can of spinach. Cliff thought it was an excellent meal.
I have a huge grocery list! It won't be an expensive trip to the store, though. It's mostly ordinary stuff... vegetables, canned milk, sugar and such.
Most of our snow left us today, and tomorrow is supposed to be downright balmy, if somewhat muddy in places.
I'll be back pretty soon with my Thursday Thirteen.
I knew it was gone when I tried to pull it up. We have been using leftover roast this week also. I made some veggie soup and chopped some up in it. Turned out to be the taste I wanted. I had cooked it in the crook pot so I used the broth also. Helen
ReplyDeleteI knew whatever you were to create was gonna be good. Have a nice evening with you and yours,

Didn't read your vent. Are you going to get a ride in tomorrow? It's supposed to be nice on Friday too.
ReplyDeleteI went and got my groceries today and I didn't get much..(no meat at all except for a Jenie-o turkey breast on sale for $7.00)and my groceries came to $102.00. I went to the regular grocery store- not Wal-Mart to save gas. Groceries here are going up every week.
ReplyDeletelove,

Shoot I missed the rant by about an hour...ha. Should have gotten online sooner. :)
ReplyDeleteMaybe I'll catch the next one. Dinner sounded good. Take care, Sheila
Well, I blog about work sometimes and then delete it by the next business morning (lol). That way it minimizes the chances of someone from work reading and telling someone about it. By the time the next person got to it - it would be gone. Sometimes we just need to VENT loudly and then Delete quickly. I've thought about deleting my facebook entry about old girlfriends just b/c it is so personal, but when I go back and read it - I say - nehhhh - that doesn't say anything bad about anyone just some deep feelings. And it was good to hear responses. So guess I'll keep it on there. Hope your day is a good one.
ReplyDeleteOh I guess I should clarify that would be Hubby's old girlfriend - not mine! lol Don't want anyone getting the wrong idea 'bout me. lol
