And for my fourth post of the day...

Small Farm Girl wanted me to post the recipe I used for my bread.  Like most of my recipes, it came from one of my several versions of the Better Homes and Gardens cookbook.  I couldn't find the exact recipe online, and I'm too lazy to type it out.  So I took pictures.  Unfortunately, you won't be able to copy and paste; you will have to do the hard work of writing it down word for word.  Click on the pictures to make them large enough to read the words.

I know a lot of people love their bread machines, but I really like to knead bread.  There's something almost spiritual about it.

  1. Thanks Donna! I'll give it a try. The brown sugar should make it taste really good!

Or you can enlarge the picture, right click on save the picture and then print it out as a full page and then make it.

  4. Thanks, Donna. I think I might also have this recipe in a book somewhere, but after 6 months, we are still unpacking our books, trinkets etc. I love to make bread in the fall/winter. You are right about hand-kneading . . . Blessings, Penny

If you don't want to take the time to type it all out, you can right click on the picture and save it on your computer, naming it Donnas bread recipe, or some such. I take a lot of pictures of recipes I want that I find in magazines, then retitle them on my computer, I don't have to cut the recipe out of the book, and it's easy to find by searching for a name in the title later.
