Cliff's latest project, finished

Most of my lady readers and city slickers won't be interested in this.

This entry is mainly for my son; Cliff wanted him to see his latest "work of art". Cliff took an ordinary blade that came with the John Deere... (edited: It did NOT come with the John Deere; a relative gave it to Cliff in two pieces.)

... put wings on it...

hydraulics and a wheel...

Are you impressed yet, Jim?

Cliff said this works great at leveling out bumps and hills.

It ought to, he's spent most of his spare time this week creating this masterpiece.

I may add Cliff's words of explanation later on when he comes inside.

  1. I lived on a farm when I was married so I thought this was neat! If you can get the gravel even, and get around, and back and forth on it easily in the country it is a big deal!!!

I have been resting up for my next procedure! Your friend may not have a hard time at all!

Karen ran into a friend who's husband had the same thing and he said it was not hard at all! I said well mine was kind of rough!

Karen then reminded me that I am 30 years older, heavy set, have high blood pressure and diabetes! This could make a big diffrence!!! It did with me!! I felt better then!! Hopefully his will go good! Hugs, Grams

  2. Now he needs to weld on a little platform to add some concrete blocks for weight; that way it will dig deeper and level out the holes a little better. Works for disks and plows too, but I'm sure you already knew that. Of course he may be happy with it just as it is.

  3. My Dad is always working on something like that! He adds to things, makes them better etc.. Right now he is working on a thing that we will haul behind our snowmobile to groom the trails. It looks like it will work really well.

  4. I'm a lady and a city slicker but I still can appreciate this entry. I particularly like the blades. At first I didn't understand why but then as I thought it through I realized it would stop the stones and things from being thrown to the sides where they would form rows on each side and defeat the purpose of leveling. I think? Great Job!
