Autumn is showing off her colors

Once Cliff has had his breakfast and his share of coffee, we're out there enjoying whichever season it is, taking our half-hour walk in the pasture. We walk for our health, but I suppose I'd do it just for the pure pleasure of it anyhow.

Or I'd do it for Sadie, who, once she sees us putting on our shoes, circles and whines until we're out the door.

Cliff's getting ready to toss that stick down the hill to his right.

We like to throw sticks down this steep hill, thinking we'll wear her out, making her come up such an incline.

Fat chance.

Look at those leaves with the morning sun shining through!

I love autumn. I'm so thankful I can walk!

  2. I love when the sun is shining through the trees like that and the colors brighten up and glissing from the frost on the leaves.
but.. the sun shining in my face on the way to work in the mornings and the way home in the afternoons like it is now that the sun rises earlier and sets earlier drives in insane Grrrrr.....

    Take care :-)

  4. Donna I got your package a few days ago from Pay if forward! Thanks so much! LOVED the cookbook AND the poem book. I read it all and I have to say my fav was the one you wrote about your daughter and her toy doll :D It so reminded me of Nic's purple people eater! That poem made me cry :( You write some really great poems.

  5. Beautiful pictures. It is a blessing to be able to walk, and to see and just smell the air on days that are so perfect. Autumn has it's moments of dark and dreary days too, but the colorful ones are to be remembered.
Thanks for sharing your walk. I'm parked at my desk at work as usual.

  12. I have seen the video a couple of times and it just about brings tears each time I see it. Looks like Sadie really loves her daily romps. We feed the birds here round and it does get expensive for folks who live on a fixed income. Makes you feel guilty eating knowing those birds are hungry though. They just about swarm in here when we put feed out. Helen
