My Country Life
Yikes, I am glad no one got hurt.
For some reason flashbacks of my own teen doing something like this comes to mind LOL
Uh oh, that's an accident waiting to happen!Write From Karen
Better them up there than me. lol
That is just so dangerous! I hope their parents caught them and blistered their be-hinds!
Oh my my-this is not a Missouri think, must be a small small town Missouri thing, lol. Thank. You, Donna, I appreciate your friendship and your kindness. xoxo
The children playing on the roof reminds me of the time the neighbor called me to ask me if I knew that my kids were climbing out of the second story window by way of bed sheets. I did not. Grin.
Seems a dangerous place to let children play!
Although I cringe at the sight now, about a half-century ago I'd have been one of them. It's a wonder half of us ever survived to become parents.
That reminded me of my teenage years.A large water-apple tree covering half of the roof of our kitchen. I'd climb up with a sandwich and a cold drink. Stayed on the roof under its shade whenever I wanted to be alone and chill. My serenity, with the occasional visit from the birds, chirping sounds and cool breeze... a wonderful place at an awkward age.My quiet time in my quiet spot. Missed it very much.Oh, there is that element of danger too... not to doze-off and roll off the roof. Cool!
I love comments!
