I really don't know what they did with the dryer from that point on. We had taken a whole load of junk on the trailer, and once the dryer was disposed of, we took our money ($160) and went home.
Since I know how much I use mine I know they live such long hardworking lives that they probably appreciate the smaller home where less is expected of them.
Aww, poor clothes dryer. Rest in peace knowing you never have to deal with that band of Jeans brothers that come in from the pool soaking wet and just plop themselves down. And expect YOU to dry them off. Nosiree, your job is complete! Happy WW
Oh, I remember when we took my mother's old avocado green washer & dryer to the dump. Hubby said, "Don't look," but I did, of course. They flew off the back of the pick-up, springs flying and went crashing. It was kinda sad, but they were on their way to being recycled, so that was good.
