My cousin's cathouse

Cliff found some items on Craigslist that he really wanted. Turns out that when he called the phone number listed, it was my cousin Betty's husband.

We're so happy with the two items we bought; I'll do an entry about those at another time. Let me just say that Cliff is doing a happy dance, and feels like Christmas arrived early this year.

So while the men were chatting, Betty and I had a seat in Russ's shop and had a nice discussion.

Suddenly, a cat jumped up on my lap as though it owned me. And then another one.

"Betty, get my purse," I said. "There's a camera in there, and I want you to take my picture with these cats."

Then I had her hand the camera to me, and I took pictures. I'm not a big fan of tame cats, but I have to admit this cat face is totally beautiful; look at those eyes.

Then a third cat jumped onto my lap. Whoa!

So of course, I had Betty take another picture of me, with three cats on my lap. And they stayed right there until I got up to go home.

  1. Awww how cute. You wouldn't have to worry about that if you came to my house. We've had Susie for years and she still won't have anything to do with anyone but me and then its on her terms.

  3. How precious...of course I love cats. Those look a lot like my Sammy. Congrats on the Craig's List buys. We have someone here to look at a truck right now that we listed on there. Praying they take it home with them:)

  4. Those eyes are endearing.

3 cats think you're a cat person. Cats sense these things...

    Have a good weekend!

  5. Great pictures. I noticed you didn't have your hands on any of them LOL. They are cute although I myself am not a cat lap person. Helen

Different kind of cat house! Terrible and funny memory came from your post. I lived in Biloxi back when I was 18 and newly married. Men kept knocking at my door and I had to tell them the "cat house" was across the road. I was such a naive young girl and couldn't believe I had to tell them that. It scared me.

  7. It's cause you are so lovable. Animals know a nice person when they see one.

  8. LOL @ Muhd's comment. Maybe you just don't know you're a cat person!

I do love the coloring on those cats....I hope my next one will look like that....

  9. You may not love cats but they sure love you...ha. Our own cat won't jump in our lap, except every once in awhile and then it jumps back down pretty quick...ha.
    Have a great weekend,

  11. Cute! My cat is not friendly whatsoever...she won't let anyone including us love on her without trying to bite and scratch ya... We have a 5yr old Chihuahua and she bites him all the time, he is so laid back and doesn't do anything to her... We are trying to find her a new home... it makes me sad because we found her at 4 weeks, bottle fed her and everything...but she has a mean streak that just won't go away..lol

    Hugs
