Remember when I took the cat family in how I wasn't going to pet them? Well, Mama Cat has finally earned my trust. She doesn't make a nuisance of herself hanging around on my porch like the two youngsters do, so I occasionally pet her now. For a couple of days, all three cats walked with us. Now the youngsters have dropped out, but Mama stays with us for the whole forty minute walk, every single day. Here's a slide show.
I think mama kitty does have a fondness for you for sure. Seems she is eager for your company and finds it nice to be with you going for a walk. I've had lots of cats but one of them hopped up on my shoulder every day and stayed there till I put her down. I do miss her company.

I'm not a cat person. I've have a few that were ok. Like you said they weren't pesty.. I just don't dig the climbing on the counters, clawing the furniture. And i have owned one that would get in your face when you slept. That is a HUGE no no to me.. needless to say that little feeler didn't live at my house for long.
I'm just a dog person.
Nancy, I'm the same way as you. I do NOT want a cat in my house. Around here, a cat's place is in the barn. And if those two younger cats EVER start climbing on my screens and destroying them, they will disappear. That was Mama Kitty in the header yesterday. I had Cliff take a different picture today because I didn't have my camera on the right setting, and besides, I didn't like seeing that hanky sticking out of my pocket.

I don't know nothing about settings. I just point and shoot. Even after reading Ree's photo stuff. It's like speaking a foreign language to me.
I love cats and your Mama Kitty looks a lot like my Stormy. I'd rather have a cat in the house than a smelly dog. I like dogs, too, only outside! I do get tired of the shedding and having to Clorox the counter tops so frequently, but we all love Stormy to pieces and can't imagine being without her.

ReplyDeleteI thought I was seeing things. First the kitty was in the header, then she wasn't? Then the hankie. Then it wasn't. LOL I swore you Photoshopped them out. I've had both dogs and cats in my life and have LOVED them to pieces. Right now I have cats. It therefore warmed my heart to see the MAMA kitty and you all cozying up to each other. AHHH! So SWEET.
