We were overdue for a motorcycle ride, and since today was pleasant, we chose to ride to Arrow Rock. It's perhaps an hour-and-thirty-minute ride one-way. That historic little burg is so quiet you could almost hear a pin drop. We ate lunch in the park; watch for the picture of Cliff with a banana, looking at other visitors in the park. We've been through there before, but it's the sort of place I never get tired of.
This is an ethanol plant near Malta Bend. It emits the most peculiar, though not unpleasant, odor.
It's rather sad, going through small towns like Malta Bend, to see signs of businesses that once prospered.
Cliff's taking a nap in his Lazy-Boy, resting up for work tonight.
Glad you got out to enjoy the nice weather. I worked as usual and looked at it all through the window...so thanks for sharing the ride
ReplyDeleteHope you had a wonderful mother's day and enjoyed the ride!

I love, love, LOVE going to Arrow Rock. A spring pilgrimage just might be in order. Or maybe I'll hold out for the summer theatre season. Either way, I haven't been in a few years and that's way too long.
