The old left-over turkey dilemma

OK, we've had turkey gumbo and turkey jambalaya. I love turkey pot pies, but three of the four people here at present don't need any more pie crust. Besides, I'm out of chicken broth, which is a pretty vital ingredient.

This may require a trip to the local grocery store. But I happen to have a taxi-driver today, so that wouldn't be a problem. Or, it may simply require a little imagination and recipe-changing on my part.

Or I might just go ahead and make a turkey pot pie, and the heck with calories and fat.

  1. Been catching up on your last few posts. Glad you had such a nice day for your Thaksgiving. We did too, it was rather warm, although not nearly as warm as where you are. We didn't have enough turkey left over after everyone took some home so I don't have the problem of figuring out what to do with it after we have one sandwich!

Loved the song about the blessings, I listened to the whole thing and could have sung along but didn't want to spoil it! lol! How blessed we are and don't even realize it sometimes.

That hot tub pic is so good of you all! What fun! Also the Craig's list hot tub that was free is a howl! I bet that was gone in no time!!!!

    Have a wonderful weekend!

  3. I keep out a little bit of the leftover turkey after Thanksgiving, then freeze the rest and use it for soups or sandwiches when the mood strikes. Too much of anything is...TOO MUCH!
