It's not that I have anything in particular against Obama. Truthfully, I prefer him to Hillary. But why on earth does Oprah feel she is qualified to tell us what we need? Or whom we should vote for? The crazy thing is, I'll bet a lot of folks, mostly women, will be influenced by her politics.
Good grief.
Amen, Donna! I am sick of the celebrity pressure. And while I do like Oprah from time to time, it feels like this is discrimination to me that she is going with the one black candidate. Let's go with one who will uphold our Constitution!!
ReplyDeletelol, I thought the same thing!
ReplyDeleteShe thinks she can use her 'star power' to help him....maybe she can but she isnt persuading me about anything.
I do not like Oprah much.
I agree, Oprah should stick to her show and leave the politics to the ones that know what they are talking about.
ReplyDeleteUm, Oprah can do an ok show and she has some interesting guests. She's put a lot of her own money into starting a school in Africa for girls. Good for her! I think she ought to be able to go on the trail, just like I think my pastor ought to be able to say who he thinks the best candidate is during Sunday services. Just saying.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't mean I'll vote for Obama though. I'm trying to think of a single issue we'd agree on and I'm coming up blank.
Hey, found your blog through Stacey! I hate Wal-Mart, too, but more because of the people who show up there.
(Yeah, I know, you're going... um, lady, if you show up there, that makes you one of those people that show up there LOL!!!)
Just because Oprah endorses him makes me want to run screaming the other way!
