Can't comment on my blog?

If you don't accept third-party cookies on your browser, that might be the problem.  At least that's what Google Blogger product forum tells me.  Because of course, Google intends to know all about you and where you have been.  I've tried all sorts of options with no luck.
My helpful Canadian reader found something called Disqus, which you can add to use for comments instead of using Blogger comments.   Unfortunately, it was too complicated for me.  It would have required my doing some fooling around with HTML, and that always scares me.
I know Wordpress is a popular blogging platform and I tried it once, but I just didn't understand how to change a couple of things out and finally gave up.
Maybe you have figured out by now that I'm a simple person who likes everything to be easy.  It is frustrating when people cannot comment here, and also frustrating that Google insists on tracking people so closely.  Believe me, if I ever get Wordpress figured out, I'm moving.

  1. Since I always leave a comment here you know I've had no problems. It may be that I am well tracked...if that is the case I don't have a problem with it as I don't have anything to hide. just saying in case those that want to know will know...I'm not moving from blogger anytime soon. Sorry folks are having a problem with it. I've not seen anyone else having a problem. Maybe they are and are just not saying.

  2. Yes, others are having problems also. They've left comments telling me so.

  3. Hi Donna,

I am a web professional. My job is managing the Steiner Tractor Parts website. I also run a couple of wordpress sites for a tractor club and for myself (though it is much neglected and perhaps not interesting to you or your readers). Do the people having a problem report what the issue is? Do they see an error message or are they unable to get to this "Post a Comment Screen". If you let me know what the issues are, I might be able to help with a solution.

  4. WordPress was created by Satan to test or ruin your faith.

  5. The problem is that the two buttons they need to press to add their comments are missing.

  6. I've not been having any problems other than that horrid word verification thing they used. Once that thing was disposed of, I was fine. But I am not happy with the way Google has run this. They are mucking it all up for no reason!

  7. I had problems commenting back when your word verification was on from my tablet. Drove me crazy. I had to wait until I got on PC to do it. But things seem OK now that you dropped that. At least from my end. I did notice I haven't been getting as many comments as usual, though. So maybe something is going on?
