bummed

We got our Christmas tree today. I hauled out the ornaments and got it trimmed in true redneck fashion... colored lights and all. It smells divine, just like a real tree ought to. It's from Oregon, by the way.

In the spirit of the season, I decided to watch my favorite movie of all time tonight: "It's A Wonderful Life".

Seems like when the oldest granddaughter was here Thanksgiving Day and hooked up her Wii, she somehow unhooked my DVD player. I have no idea how to fix it.

Amber? If you know what's good for you, you'll get that fixed, or your Grandma will lose what Christmas spirit she's stirred up thus far. And that means no Christmas present.

Christmas without George Bailey just isn't Christmas.

  1. I have no clue about your TV or anything, but I bet I can get it going. We'll be by in the morning.

  3. I'm making preparations to get my tree and decorations out, but mine is only an artificial one. I love a real tree but don't really have room for anything bigger than the little 4 foot tree I put on a table in our living room window. If it wasn't for my grandbaby I probably wouldn't even put a tree up.

Hope you get your DVD hooked back up tomorrow. I'd hate to know that Amber won't be getting anything for Christmas from her Grandma. ;o)

  8. I agree: George Bailey is a part of Christmas I can't live without either. I've been looking for it to come on tv since Thanskgiving. So glad you got the tree.

  9. An Oregon tree, eh? Oh I know which one you got. The one with all that green stuff on it. I saw them cutting it for you last week. ; )

Just joking, but thanks for supporting Oregon agriculture. Want to buy some honey?

  12. The last few times I had a real tree I had allergy problems, so I'm afraid to try again. Yours sounds nice. I hope you got your DVD working!
