I'm getting one of these

It's a cane until you need a seat; then it's a chair.  I saw a couple of elderly ladies using these at a tractor show, and I've been wanting one ever since.  It would be a lifesaver.
I cancelled my orthopedist appointment because I don't want to be down for the count through the best part of spring; I am going to wait until fall, perhaps October.  I can still sit on an upside-down bucket to pick green beans in the garden.  I definitely WILL see about getting it done in the fall, though.  In fact, I'll probably schedule an appointment for late July to talk to the doctor about it.
I find the results of the poll on my sidebar about churches paying taxes quite enlightening:  It looks to me like the citizens of this country need to be allowed to vote on this issue.
Cliff's going to take me to a Minute Clinic today so I can get some antibiotics to get rid of this sinusitis.  I'm tired of my face hurting, not to mention the sore throat.  I was going to see a nurse-practitioner at our doctor's office, but they couldn't take me until Monday.
Wish me luck!

i voted awhile back on your poll, feel all groups & orgs should pay taxes.
hope you feel better. takes too long to get appts at drs office, it's a same, anywhere from a couple days to a wk. & specialists take from a wk - a couple mos...it's awful!

  2. I love that cane / seat I'll have to be on the look out for one too. How nice to have a seat ready anytime you want. I have a walking stick that I use all the time at the campground and I love it. It does help when I'm walking about there. This year I'm going to aim for a walk in the morning and another in the evening. We'll see how that goes. Hope you get your antibiotics and feel better soon!

  3. I have a walker with a seat that I like very much. Of course it's in storage now as we transition from one home to another. I hope your sinuses are better soon. That's miserable. Blessings, Penny

  4. Hope the Minute Clinic will give you some relief!

I gave one of those chair/canes to my mom; sometimes I wish I'd bought one for myself. :)

Got it a few years back at Dick's Sporting Goods store.

  5. My neighbor used to have one of those, since he is now in a motorized rolling chair I have no idea what happened to it. Come to think of it I believe his was a walker that had some sort of seat to it. Good luck on getting some antibiotics. Helen

  8. Sorry you don't feel well, Donna. A lady at work today said she had this so bad the last few days that her face hurt. I am not sure I have ever had anything like that so bad. I've had headaches, but not the face hurting all together.

That is a cool cane! My Uncle K collects canes, and I bet he does not have one of those.

  10. So sorry you are having the sinus issue. I had it before we went to Florida and it was miserable. Finally cleared up with otc stuff but I should have gone to the doctor too.

One of those cane/chairs would be great but knowing how clumsy I am I would probably fall off it!

I think that too many churches have become businesses and, as such, should pay taxes. Plus there are so many unscrupulous people who have registered as religious organizations just to escape taxes! On the other subject, I have seen those cane/charis and think they look great!
