Sadie's adventure in the woods

Please keep in mind that it doesn't take much for Sadie to have an adventure. For instance, if she looks out the window and sees a certain boxer in the distance, she goes into her "kill" mode. Unless you let her out to chase her, in which case she's careful not to get within ten feet of the boxer.

That thing in the upper right-hand corner is the strap of my camera. I do believe I see the glint of an eye far down in the log, though.

  1. That is the cyclops puma... well known to inhabit areas of Lafayette County and regions to the south... approaching this close however indicates reconstructive surgery in the not too distant future.

  2. You are braver than I would be...my daughters dogs have had run ins with skunks before. I wanted to tell you too, that there are azalea bushes that do winter over. I have one that's been around over 17 years now. It has buds starting to form so it'll be a while yet before it blooms.

I am listening to an audio book right now, (well not right this minute!) called Deep Freeze, and the first chapter is about a hunting dog finding a dead body in a hollow log!

  5. Awww, Sadie the great hunter, bless her heart she knows something is is there and can probably tell from it's smell what it is. She is such a good companion for you in the woods and around the house. No doubt she has a part of you heart. Wonder if a possum is in there?
