scenes from my woods

This is a scene from our woods; morel mushrooms abound on these slopes, if you can catch them at the right time. Those gullies are the reason my knees hurt; they are the reason I am currently walking with a limp.

It's beautiful back there, though.

Even when I don't find many morel mushrooms, there's always something in the woods to catch my eye.

You may not be able to tell it, but this is two butterflies mating.

Mayflowers abound in the woods. The little guy on the left, though, decided to grow through the middle of a dead leaf. So he's caught in a leaf hug.

  5. I love the woods that's why I love camping where I do. The hills get to me so I try to avoid walking them for sure. I do have a walking stick that helps. Maybe you should try one on your walks. You'd be amazed at how much they really do help. We don't have the May flowers yet, but they should be coming. It seems everything is just waiting for some warmer weather.

  8. I think we called them May Apples or something like that. That's cute that you got a pic of the one that grew through the leaf. Love the pics!
