Oatmeal bread

I've fought the urge to make bread for quite some time now. I finally just gave in to the urge. What is it about hot bread that's so inviting?

Cliff likes it.

Sadie too.

Oh, my tech-savvy daughter came today and fixed my DVD player. She did it in practically no time at all.

What was the problem, you ask?

It wasn't plugged in.

*sigh*

  1. I wouldn't have told if you hadn't. It was pretty darn funny, though.

  2. Phhhht!! This happens more often than you think. It's usually one of the first things I check when trouble shooting--even computers. First you check the peripheral is plugged in to a power source, then you check it is plugged into the pc/tv!

Glad your back up and running!

  3. Warm bread cannot be beat. It is extra good when it is cold out.
Looks to me like you had 2 happy customers there. 'On Ya'-ma

  4. Gosh that bread looks good. Does the no-knead come out as well? Is it a yeast bread? I'm thinking I need to pick up an electric knife now and some yeast. I haven't made bread in I don't know how long. I miss it. I buy the bakery bread lately at the grocery store just so I can feel like I'm eating homemade.

  5. The bread looks sooo good. Mel use to hate to have to charge a customer for plugging in their ice cream cabinet on a service call. He worked for a company and it took gas and a man's time to go out so he had to.

That's the last thing I would have checked too, if I had a problem with DVD player. You are not the only one!

  8. Ah, all is well again with the DVD player again. The bread looks just delicious on its own...

With the Christmas mugs all out and a few more weeks to Christmas, I think the celebration at your house will be a wonderful occasion.

    Have a good week ahead.
