NATURE
Exactly ten years ago today.
This series is supposed to help us zoom in on gratitude. Well, I can say with extreme gratitude that I'm glad this mess is ten years behind us. I think our power was off for three days; my sister was without electricity for at least a week.
Usually that's what it looks like around here for most of the winter. This year has been extremely mild for us and not much snow. We're used to it but I can see where others would find it rather daunting. A few years ago we had a generator installed, the best money we ever spent.
ReplyDeleteHave you got Pioneer Woman's latest cookbook yet?
I don't think her new cookbook comes out until March. I will probably get one. I don't use her recipes much, though. Very fattening!
ReplyDeleteAck--you had to remind me, didn't you? (not so fond memories of a few weeks back)
ReplyDeleteLike your header with your herd.
ReplyDeleteOh, I remember that storm! I had a little baby and a 6 year old and no power for 7 days. Husband was out of town to start the storm but he rushed back so he could get us a generator going. That was something wasn't it??
ReplyDeleteIf I had seen that storm, you have pictured here, when I woke up this morning, I would have gone back to bed and called it a day. too much snow makes me cringe. It was almost 60 here today. LOVE this mild winter. GREAT photos.
ReplyDeleteAll the shots are great but that top one is a real killer. Nice to have that one behind us, isn't it?
