I saw this very old video of Ron Paul as a much younger man, talking the same kind of sense as he does today. Feel free to pass on by, because I pass by most political posts myself. I feel better putting it out there, whether anyone else watches it or not.
Nice find, Donna.
ReplyDeleteIt's refreshing to find someone who can actually think for himself.
ReplyDeleteI'm always extremely tempted to do political posts, but my raving rants tend to scare the hell out of people......
(perhaps I should start an annonymous political blog)
so Jon go for polictial post, only when enought free thinking people speak up can things change.
ReplyDeleteWhat we need to do is get "campaign contributions" out of our government so the wealthy and corporations can no longer buy our legislators and so, our legislation, and finally, our government. If we don't do that, nothing will ever change.
ReplyDeleteAdditionally, if we do what the British did and make the campaigns shorter by law--say, 3 to 6 months long, at most, they wouldn't be that expensive, either. Finally, we wouldn't be exposed to all that nonsense for 2 years and elected officials could be more focused on doing their work instead of running for office.
It won't happen until we insist on it.
I respect Ron Paul. He says what he means and means what he says. His message has remained consistent all these years. And to my mind, a wise message.
ReplyDeleteI'm always suspicious of any politician. I'd like to see a guy who came right out and said "I'm in it for the money!"
ReplyDeleteMay I be so bold as to ask you for a progress picture now'n'then Cliff's cleaning and painting the 1855 project.
