Just as we exited the store, there was this huge "BANG", and at first we wondered if somebody was shooting at us. Then we saw the pickup. The man driving (notice it was a MAN, people!) had slammed into a concrete-encased pole not far from the entrance. He hit it so hard it not only dented the left front of his truck, it also blew out the tire.
I had my camera with me, and I wanted so badly to take a picture. Unfortunately, there was no discreet way of doing that, and I figured the guy, probably in his thirties, already felt bad enough, without watching some old woman take his picture.
We can't figure out any reason for the mishap. Was he on the cell phone? On drugs? There's no way to know, but he sure messed up a beautiful white pickup, and what looked to be a brand-new tire.
I guess I am going to have to ride out there and teach you how to shoot (take a picture) from the hip and still get the shot. I do have business in Lexington that I need to take care of someday. Glad the "BANG" wasn't shots (from a weapon) directed at you.
ReplyDeleteTo bad he messed up his truck but glad it wasn't somebody shooting. Helen
ReplyDeleteI'm glad it wasn't you & Cliff or another person he hit.
ReplyDeleteThank you, this is much easier!
I guess you never know what might happen next. I hope no one was hurt. Thankfully you weren't involved in the accident
ReplyDeleteMy guess would be a cell call or a text message!
ReplyDeleteYou could been the winner of the competition at peopleofwalmart.com
ReplyDeleteWal*Mart is always a place of entertainment.
ReplyDeleteYes, I need to teach you how to nonchalantly take a good cell phone picture.
ReplyDeleteYou just need to fake texting or talking on the phone. It's a fine art really. :)
None of the other chain store ever seem to have anything unusual happen...lol, what's up with Walmart?
ReplyDeleteDid it make the papers?
Glad no one was hurt.
