A tip from Ed, a reader of my blog (for those poor anonymous people)

Since Donna (that's me) uses embedded comments, you (anonymous) must set your browser to accept third party cookies. Then you will be able to comment.

Sounds a lot simpler than my previous advice, which probably didn't work anyway.  I don't know anything about third party cookies or embedded comments, but if you know what this means, you will probably be able to get your real name back.  Ed is a lot more computer smart than I am, trust me.  I deleted my  previous entry.

I tried it but the cookie didn’t show up before I could respond on your blog. Oh well, it’s okay. My grandson and granddaughter are showing pigs, sheep’s and chickens. My son in law is a judge in some categories.

    1. It is to me also, Kay. By the way, I've been thinking about you a lot since the fire on Maui. I'm glad you are among the living.

  5. I struggled with this for awhile. I like the embedded comment format because it allows me to easily respond to each person, personally versus the list type response where readers had to scan all my comments to find their name. But then this problem came along and it was a real struggle because I couldn't fix it on my end. I went back to the old format of comments for a time but eventually enough people got word about the third party cookie solution in your browser settings and I went back again to using embedded comments.

At least it appears your solution now works somewhat too though they still have to select and sign in every time they comment. For a time, like one of your previous commenters said, I tried doing that and it would just get me in some endless loop where I couldn't comment except as anonymous. But once I allowed third party cookies, that all went away.

  6. There were a lot of folks having this same comment problem on different posts and different groups on Facebook. They said it was an internet glitch. All I know is, my last comment to you on here went through and I didnt change a thing.
