Twin talk

I have heard all my life that identical twins have their own special language when they are babies, but I had never witnessed this for myself.  Somebody posted a video on Facebook yesterday, and I re-posted it.  I want to share it with my readers who don't follow me on Facebook.  It's obvious these boys are having a genuine conversation.  Part of it seems to be a discussion of a missing sock, but who knows?

  1. That was just a little strange. I believe after about five minutes of that I would be reaching for the Tylenol. But from their gestures it sure looked like they were talking about something serious, didn't it? Babies are so odd.

  2. I think babies in general have strange, but cool communication patterns. I remember when my little ones would vocalize and emote; I'm sure they were trying to tell me something, but I had no idea what! :)

  3. Just watched it--pretty sure that baby on the left is telling dirty jokes. ;)

  4. My middle two children are nine months ten days apart(preemie) and we watched this behavior with the two all the way up until they were 5 and 6. They would speak to us, but jibber to eachother. They called it chauncy and friends...I never understood it and they cannot recall what it was all about.

Until a few years ago they slept together in a loft full size bed. I am amazed at how very close they are, and when I watch this I see and agree that yes they are saying something...and understand eachother.

  5. LOL That so reminds me of my girls when they were little. They had their own language-even when they were big enough to understand. I remember they were always talking about the maymates and the babates : )

  6. I saw this yesterday and I think it's just about the best video I have ever seen. I believe they each know what the other is saying. Helen
