Name my calf
I don't know as I should call this a contest, since there's no prize. But I'm going to ask for suggestions on what to name the new baby calf. Because there is no prize, even family members may participate. If your name is the winner, let me caution you not to get too attached to the calf; he is headed for our freezer eventually. We've already made him a steer by putting a special rubber band on him. Dang it, now I realize that would have made a great blog entry, if I'd taken pictures! Pioneer Woman is always blogging about calf nuts; I missed my chance.

Well...his mother's name is Bonnie. Sooooo I think HIS name should be CLYDE.
ReplyDeleteClyde is a cute idea! I second that one. I'm sooooo glad you didn't take pictures anyway...sometimes that is just too much information. It is sufficient to know he'll be in the freezer.
ReplyDeleteHow about Triface - white triangle on his face. He is adorable! Clyde would be cute too - oh no, my last name is Parker!!
ReplyDeleteWell, he is heading toward the freezer, how about Meatball?
ReplyDeleteHe's so cute. I love cows.
ReplyDeleteI'd name him Burger. Or Chuck. Mmmm.
How about T-Bone?
ReplyDeleteI will ask Ethan..lets see what he comes up with.."Rex"
ReplyDeleteI'll go with Bennie, though Clyde is cute. Sheila
ReplyDeleteI thought it should be something to do with the 4th, since he was born so close. Boomer? After carrying him, I think his name should be Heavy D. A third choice would be Lunch Bucket.
ReplyDelete"Sparkle" is cute and sorta fits with the 4th. he looks like he has the special "spark"
ReplyDeleteDonna
I like lunch bucket!
ReplyDeleteOH NO....... IS HE GOING TO BE HAMBURGER??? ;-)
ReplyDeleteLOVE YA,
CARLENE
How about 'Yummy' or 'Skillet'
ReplyDeleteI like "Patches"... LOL but Clyde would fit nicely!!!! hugs...Ora
ReplyDeleteHmmm... Meatloaf is probably appropriate :)
ReplyDeleteHow about Sir Loin?
ReplyDeleteKevin
My first impression was "Freckles"!
ReplyDeleteDang, I thought about this all afternoon and I liked the name Freckles too but Lindie beat me to it. So how about Rambler or Tumbleweed after all you went thru to get him out of the ravine.
ReplyDeleteI suggest Diamond.
ReplyDeleteHahaha, I'm a tad slow. Now I understand why your last steer was alled Meatloaf.

ReplyDeletePam Coon says.....I think Boomer would be a great name for this little guy! He is a cutie and with the booms of the evening every where it just makes sense to me.... yeah, Boomer!!!
ReplyDeleteA Jersey cow? Name him "What exit?" This will make sense to anyone who's from Joisey.
ReplyDeleteAWWW!! You don't want to butcher that cute little thing.
ReplyDeleteThen again, I bet he will be pretty tasty some day.
I voted T-bone.
I think the mark on his head is almost heart shaped. I collect rocks that are heart shaped, or almost. Why not Sweetheart for a name?
ReplyDeleteI think he's name should be Heartbreaker as it will break most heart when he go to butcher shop. Sorry folks..and he is so sweet that he already a Heartbreaker.
