Name my calf

Looking at this picture, you could name him "Flyface". Poor little guy.

I don't know as I should call this a contest, since there's no prize. But I'm going to ask for suggestions on what to name the new baby calf. Because there is no prize, even family members may participate. If your name is the winner, let me caution you not to get too attached to the calf; he is headed for our freezer eventually. We've already made him a steer by putting a special rubber band on him. Dang it, now I realize that would have made a great blog entry, if I'd taken pictures! Pioneer Woman is always blogging about calf nuts; I missed my chance.

  2. Clyde is a cute idea! I second that one. I'm sooooo glad you didn't take pictures anyway...sometimes that is just too much information. It is sufficient to know he'll be in the freezer.

  8. I thought it should be something to do with the 4th, since he was born so close. Boomer? After carrying him, I think his name should be Heavy D. A third choice would be Lunch Bucket.

  17. Dang, I thought about this all afternoon and I liked the name Freckles too but Lindie beat me to it. So how about Rambler or Tumbleweed after all you went thru to get him out of the ravine.

I think the mark on his head is almost heart shaped. I collect rocks that are heart shaped, or almost. Why not Sweetheart for a name?

  25. I think he's name should be Heartbreaker as it will break most heart when he go to butcher shop. Sorry folks..and he is so sweet that he already a Heartbreaker.
