Cliff was helping me get some stuff that was in the garage back at the mobile home. As we stepped outside, I saw a flash of white behind the barn.
"Look! It's Mama Kitty!"
Sure enough, it was her, looking no worse for the wear.
I went in the barn to make sure there was plenty of food for her and Jake. She seemed pretty hungry, but doesn't appear to have lost any weight. I wish she could talk and tell me where she's been. I wonder if she ventured into a barn or shed and got shut in. We'll never know, but this gives me one more thing to be thankful for, this Thanksgiving.
I kept trying to pet her, but since I don't normally do that, she kept backing off and looking at me as if to say, "What's up with you? Are you crazy?"
Some cats just can't be petted. I am glad she is home. Yes, she might have been locked in somewhere or just wandered too far.
ReplyDeleteYea! Glad she is back!

Yay, Mama Cat!
ReplyDeleteWOW! The Prodigal Cat has returned. I'm so glad!!!! I was worried about her.
ReplyDeleteThe daytime high temperature here in Texas is presently 23 degrees and there's an ice storm. I already had five power outages! I'm going to bring the kittens inside tonight so they don't freeze.
Give my regards to Mama Kitty.
YEAH! Glad Mama kitty has returned.
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy to read Mama Kitty is home and safe.
ReplyDeleteYay!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteGlad your Momma kitty cat came home! I had the feeling she would.
ReplyDeleteMosie just had to come back to tell you thanks for the country song on facebook. Love it!
ReplyDeleteWonderful news. I'm thankful too!
ReplyDeleteIt makes me just soooooo happy to come home from a long day at work and see that mama kitty is back home!!!! best thing that has happened to me all dang day long!!!
ReplyDeleteWouldn't it be something if she could talk. So glad to hear the good news that she's back.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad she made it home okay. I'm such a city girl that my yard is fenced for the dogs and when I had cats they were kept inside. Nothing like being over protective.
ReplyDeleteI am SO glad she's back. I was hoping she'd turn up! I had a cat that was missing for two weeks one time, and then she turned up.
ReplyDeleteI did not know we had so much in common...all you wrote in you post above could have been about me. I feel a connection. Hope the sun will shine and I can feel the warmth this week. I know that would help, but it is so cold. Depression comes in this Christmas season and covers me like a dirty old blanket. Misery is the only company I want. I will only get better when things sprout again. I will pray for feeling better but I only fall deeper!
