4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 1/2 cups butter or margarine
1 cup white sugar
1 (3 ounce) package fruit flavored gelatin mix
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1.Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (205 degrees C).2.Sift flour with baking powder. Cream margarine; gradually add sugar and gelatin and cream well. Add egg and vanilla; beat well. Gradually add flour mixture; mix until smooth.3.Force dough through cookie press onto ungreased cookie sheet. Sprinkle with gelatin. Bake for about 8 -12 minutes or until golden brown at the edges.
I was lazy last night and did not use a cookie press. I rolled small balls of dough, put them on the cookie sheet, and smashed them with a drinking glass. Not as pretty, but a lot faster and easier.
