The bigger they are, the harder they fall.

Wow.  As a fairly new football fan, I had a strange feeling all day yesterday.  At church when someone asked about the Super Bowl game, I told them I had no idea who would win.  What I didn't mention was that I had a feeling they'd lose.  All day, Cliff and I hardly mentioned the game.  After it started turning out so awful right from the beginning, I went to bed at half time.  But first I told Cliff, "I had a feeling."  He said he, also, had that feeling all day.

You know, sometimes if you get too high and mighty, you get a hard lesson.  Right before the game I the camera went to Patrick Mahomes; he was yawning and I wondered what that was about.  How could he yawn at a time like that?  And let's face it, the team hasn't had the best season.

It's time for the fans of another team to have some fun.  I intend to always watch the Chiefs games, win or lose... although I might go to bed at half time a lot!  We've had a lot of fun since I started watching football with Cliff in 2020.  I feel sorry for the team, but they're all millionaires, while we live on our monthly social security .  I know the Chiefs aren't worrying about me!

Peace.

I quit the game after the 2nd half first possession. I didn't bother with halftime because I can never understand the words.

  2. I really like football and sit down every Sunday for a day of it. My girlfriend and I are Andy fans, but when he is playing the Eagles, Andy’s gotta go. Even though I live 65 miles away from Philly, Eagle flags are everywhere. If I hear E A G L E S spelled one more time, well you know. I am happy we won. Jalen Hurts is such a humble guy. It was heartwarming to see him hug his Dad, and neither one wanted to let go. I did catch that yawn, and had the same thought. Stay warm, and hug those kitties.

  3. It was the first football game I "watched" all season. I say watched in quotation marks because it was on in the background and I mostly read my book in-between commercials. But I looked up often enough to see the Chiefs were not having anything go right. I gave up on the halftime show within a couple minutes. I wonder when they will get someone I can actually understand what is being sung about. Now I can go about and ignore sports for another 364 days or so.

  4. I was surprised that it was such a blowout although I didn't watch it at all. It's not that interesting if I don't know any of the players. I would have watched it with John, mainly for the snacks, but he didn't want to be exposed to my cold.

I was disappointed from the very start. “American the Beautiful” and our National Anthem were pretty much unrecognizable. It hurt my heart to watch the disaster on the field. I didn’t “get” halftime at all. I just turned the TV off and played solitaire. I’m sorry it wasn’t a fun game to watch. Blessings, Penny
