Google pays

I've had this Adsense on my blog for a long time.  Five years, maybe?  The way it works, you don't get a check from them until you reach $100.  It amazes me that anybody clicks on those ads, but obviously somebody does.  I got my first check today!

God bless each and every one of my readers who ever clicked on an ad.

I always wondered how those things worked. Thanks for telling us. I'm thinking about trying Adsense on my blog. I figure it will help me pay for a new hot water heater in about forty years......

Don't they punish you for saying anything about the ads?

Mrs. L., I don't know; but I've mentioned them before.

I think they don't like people asking to click on their ads, otherwise they probably don't care. And even if you did, unless you suddenly went from 0 to $1000 they are unlikely to notice anyway.

That is AWESOME. Free money. Hope you have something fun planned with it. :)

Margaret, it's going to our rainy-day fund. We're living on a fixed income now.

I click on your Spark People ad once or twice a week to look for recipes or quotes. I am really glad it's there. Didn't know you could make money from those things. WOW. That's exciting. Congrats.

It does take forever, doesn't it? But I figure, what the heck, I'm going to blog anyway, may as well let them put the ads up....

Taryterre, I don't get anything from Sparkpeople; I promote them because that site can really help with weight loss and I like the sayings. FPS, I like that the little ads don't take up a lot of space. I hardly notice they're there.
