Firefox problems

I've used Mozilla Firefox as a browser for a few years, and it's been trouble-free; several months ago a lot of people who use Internet Explorer had trouble accessing my blog. Those using Firefox had no problems with it.

But after the last Firefox update, I've had problems: I usually run three or four tabs on my browser at once, and several times a day Firefox will sort of "freeze up" and not let me click out of any individual tab. So I'll have to click out of the whole browser, losing all tabs at once.

So I went to a "computer help" message board I know of, and saw that others were having similar problems with Firefox. Several people on the board suggested trying Google Chrome, and that's what I'm now using. I think I'm going to like it.

Anyone else having problems with Firefox?

  1. I have been using it for the last couple of months or more and so far no problem. Internet explorer wouldn't let me comment in blogs and would keep reloading it until sometimes I had to manually shut it down or unplug my computer. I haven't tried the google one yet. Helen

  3. I have been using it for years and years, and then with the last update (or my son downloaded it individually) it put Skype on the computer. It is where you call your friends and talk like you are on the phone through the computer. It is pretty cool. But it was causing my system to lock up on certain pages. So we had to uninstall that program and now now problems.

  4. I've had a few of the same type problems with my Firefox after the last update, but so far it's not bad enough to make me want to change. I've had Google Chrome installed for a couple of months but I don't like it as well as Firefox, so I hope I'm not forced into using it.

  5. I am not having trouble with Firefox per se, but if I look at my blog with IE, then sometimes it looks "weird" -- html codes in the middle of text, etc. And sometimes blogs created in IE look weird on Firefox. something of a dilemma.

  6. This last update sucked! I lost my web address bar and I have had issues with the freezing too. Downloading pictures with it causes it to stop working! Arrrg! I have started using IE again for now. I am hoping they update again and fix the issues...
