In Cliff's shop

I took a little walk around Cliff's shop with the camera and made a slide-show.  Because he's out there right now working on a project, it isn't as neat as it ordinarily would be.  Still, you can see he's an organized person.  It's a shame he married out of his element the way he did, because I'm a clutterbug, as I'm sure you've noticed.

You might wonder why Cliff has two similarly-sized John Deere tractors.
The oldest grandson's girl friend's dad (whew, that's a mouthful) owns the one on the far side.  He moved to Arizona and couldn't get it sold before he moved, so Cliff has it here; he uses it every once in awhile.  He also has the St. Louis brother-in-law's Mahindra here; it's good for the BIG jobs.

This particular storage unit is famously known as "the thing with the holes in it".  I asked Cliff where we lived when he first acquired it, and he can't recall.  We know he used it in the little garage from the time we moved here in 1975 until we had his shop built.

I should have taken a picture of the satellite radio that's perched above the bench where Cliff is working. That's one of the best gifts I ever bought him.  If Cliff is in the shop, that radio is playing; it's always set on Willie's Roadhouse.  It costs us $15 monthly, but it's commercial-free and, to Cliff, worth every penny.

That could be hubby's shop, there are an awful lot of similarities, right down to the satellite radio playing!

  2. The thing with the holes in it is the most important thing in the shop! "Hey Dad? Where's a tire gauge?" "It's in the thing with the holes in it."

  3. My husband would love a shop area like your husband does. Suburban life however doesn't allow it. LOL

  4. Enjoyed the tour. So this is, as the young people would say, Cliff's MAN CAVE. Very nice. Especially the satelitte radio. Take care.

  5. Wow. I wish my shop was that big. And that clean and well organized. I use an mp3 player plugged into a set of speakers for my music. Also commercial free! (grin)
