Don't worry, I'm not going to get political; anybody who has read this blog for a while has a good idea which way I lean; if you don't like my politics, just check out some of the blogs on my sidebar. Several of those lean in the opposite direction. I'm an equal opportunity blogger.
A couple of the decisions I made yesterday were difficult for me. I won't mention one of them, because I'd be getting all political. Let's just say I really didn't want to vote for that crook, but I felt I had no choice this year.
The one I will tell you about is this: For the first time ever, I voted against Congressman Ike Skelton. He's done an excellent job of listening to his constituents; he stands for most of the things I believe in. He's a good man.
Unfortunately, he's been in office since 1976. That's far too long.
We need term limits; since I haven't been given a vote on that, I'm voting against people who have been in office too long. I have yet to decide how long "too long" is, but anything over fifteen years would surely qualify.
That's as political as I get.
