I guess I just needed to gripe about our lost things in my blog; Cliff found his unlined Carhart overalls in the back of his closet a while ago. And the most important item, the Alaska hat, was in the deck box on the front porch! He says he now remembers hanging the overalls there; I take the blame for losing the cap, since that deck-box isn't a place Cliff would have placed it.
Cliff has trouble with stocking caps slipping off his round head, and that Alaska hat is the only one that doesn't do that, for some reason. The hat originally came from his youngest sister, whose then-husband had a brother working in Alaska. It has to be at least thirty years old, and I'd hate to see anything happen to it. It was mine throughout the years when I got out and milked cows twice a day; but since I have other stocking caps, and that one works so well for Cliff, I share it with him.
I also found the site that allowed me to put all the AOL refugees onto Google Reader: It's over at a blog called "J-Land Central", on this post. Some of you ex-AOL journal folks might want to check it out.
