Cliff's sister, her husband, and their spoiled little mini-Dachshund have spent a couple of days here; my dog, Sadie, is always happy to have a canine buddy. We found out that if I'd toss the Frisbee for Sadie, Angel pursued her. Sadie growled and Angel barked. See for yourself.

Melanie in Oregon has nominated me for the thinking blogger award. Quite a shock, since I don't make a conscious effort to make anybody think!

(Those who know me realize that I am not a stickler on rules, and I don't expect anyone to do this who doesn't want to.)

So, let's get on with it:

Mrs. Linklater's Guide to the Universe. She makes me laugh and think, all at the same time. I have been known to follow her advice a time or two. Sometimes she blogs about sports, and I skip those; nobody's perfect.

Antique Mommy. She'll make you laugh and cry. And definitely make you think. A very talented writer! I'm fairly sure she's been nominated before.

In the midst of this season. Her blog is very much in the same vein as Antique Mommy's. Great writing; heart-felt thoughts.

Just Mary. It's hard for me, sometimes, to read this lady's journal because she takes such pains to give her aging father all the attention he deserves. She makes me realize I could have done a lot better by my parents.

Bare Bones Living! This gal intends to get out of debt and build up a nest egg, and she's willing to share all the things she's learned with her readers. I need to pay close attention!
