But I've had enough neighbor problems in the past that I don't want to be suspect by a next-door neighbor. Lafayette County, Missouri, isn't as over-regulated as more populated counties, and there isn't much you can do except be sneaky or just watch your dog closely and hope for the best. I'm too old to start a feud. Since I'm the one who complained, I'd be the first person they would think of if their dogs don't come home. There will always be people who feel they are entitled to let their animals roam.Donna. I must admit that if those dogs would venture onto my property again, they would mysteriously disappear... and would be vet-checked and on to their new home... a couple states away. If the neighbor would ask if I had seen them, I would look her straight in the face, with my fingers crossed behind my back, and say "Nope. I haven't seen them in a few days now." :-D ~Andrea xoxo The Feminine Energyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02145843258211481300noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36183952.post-63808300911561193092021-03-31T08:39:29.234-05:002021-03-31T08:39:29.234-05:00As a former dog owner, I feel I can say this, but ...As a former dog owner, I feel I can say this, but most dog owners seem oblivious of their surroundings and their pets actions. Only a few of us, sounds like you fall into this group too, train our dogs to be well behaved and are constantly aware of what they are doing when around other people's property. Our neighbor had a dog that used our and every other neighbor's lawn as a urinal. When we bought this place, we tore out all the landscaping because it smelled like dog urine. It was also in violation of local leash laws and running after cars in the street. I'm guessing someone finally had enough because that dog disappeared one day. I half heartedly helped my neighbors look for it but whatever happened, the dog wasn't found. We had a blissful fall that year and then they got another dog just like their old one that plays in the street and runs over everyone's lawn. Fortunately, it doesn't seem to use our lawn as it's urinal so I tolerate it. I wish I had a more vicious dog that might put the fear of god into that thing. And truthfully, except for one time when one of them nipped Gabe. The trouble is, when one lets dogs run in a pack, they are ten times more likely to hurt someone or something. I don't honestly know whether they'd really hurt Gabe. It could be they just want to sniff him and get acquainted like dogs do. But they sure look mean when they are running toward him growling, and I'm not taking any chances. I don't let him outside any more by himself.Donna. She boards and raises horses at home, and breeds German Shepherds to sell. She didn't sell all the puppies last year, so now she has five, I think, grown ones. <br /> Donna.
