What a job. Now it seems most things are disposable, like the liners they use in the bottles.

I like that quilt pattern in the old newspaper.Midlife Momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03531655128417397650noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36183952.post-7782416828646792572008-12-13T20:02:00.000-06:002008-12-13T20:02:00.000-06:00I make a paste of baking soda and peroxide for my ...I make a paste of baking soda and peroxide for my before going to bed brushing. I have one of those little old fashioned glass things to put eye medicine in your eyes to mix it in. Also had two of those old fashioned baby bottles with no nipples. I gave them to two young mothers for a keepsake.Paulahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04007728342316668058noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36183952.post-86581229079407561682008-12-13T19:30:00.000-06:002008-12-13T19:30:00.000-06:00Those are great! I have a box full of them that were my Grandmothers. She and my Grandfather mailed them to each other during their courtship. Some of the postmarks go back as far as 1910. They married in 1915

Some of the terms of endearment give me a real chuckle.

I went through all the cards some time ago and was able to find a postcard for all of my cousins with a postmark of their birthday month and on a few of them the exact day they were born. My daughters each have a postal with their birthday....Erin's is Sept. 18, 1914 and Valerie's is Nov. 5th 1912....those are so special to my girls. We put the postals in those acrylic frames so that we can read what's written on the back of the card etc.

Some of the postals have NO postmark, as they were hand carried by my grandmother's brothers to my grandfather when he was in another town working.

Thanks for sharing your trips down memory lane with us all.

Take care....Blessings.

From Nance in CANancehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13172536528591903286noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36183952.post-52777775384221773842008-12-13T10:00:00.000-06:002008-12-13T10:00:00.000-06:00Good old fashioned tips just can't be beat sometim...Good old fashioned tips just can't be beat sometimes. I lived in the day when my babies bottles had to be sterilized. Boiled in a cooker to make sure they were germ free. They were glass and not plastic. How times have changed.
