May I whine?

I have a good life, so when I whine, it ends up being about trivial matters. Soybean harvest has begun, and because it's a warm, sunny day, the Asian Lady Beetles have returned. You can't open a door without some of them getting inside. They're capable of biting, and if you smash them, they emit an unpleasant odor. I hung three loads of laundry on the clothesline, and had to shake bugs off every piece of clothing I took off the line. Ick. I just brushed one off my belly that somehow got under my shirt. HELP!
Don't confuse these nasty things with our harmless native ladybugs.
My other petty gripe? I've missed the last two episodes of Cold Case, due to other shows running overtime. I've tried to make allowance by setting my DVR to record the shows that follow Cold Case, but so far I haven't succeeded; I'm not sure why.
May I always be so blessed that I have nothing worse to gripe about than bugs and TV shows.
Why doesn't CBS run full-length episodes of Cold Case online? Most of my other shows can be found online, if I miss them.

  1. Aren't we lucky that our whining subjects are so trivial but this is the place to whine I would say. Otherwise hope your day is going well.

  2. I did find an interesting bit of trivia on your ladybugs:

    Halloween Lady bugs
PUMPKIN colored with black spots are entering homes to spend the winter.

They are harmless and will benefit your garden next spring

Just a thought to help brighten your day.

  3. Actually, Ma, the Asian variety serve a good purpose by killing bad bugs. But who wants a house full of bugs?

  5. Helen, I just took that this morning; I figured since she made such a remarkable recovery, I had better feature her at the top of my blog for awhile.

  6. LOL...Mondays is for ranting, raving and whining...don't worry about it. I already did my whining for today.
My Mom has the native Ladybugs so bad where she has to vaccum the walls, but it's like that every year.
:) Looks like Sadie's in good shape and ready to play.

  7. Tango, native ladybugs don't get in the house. If they're that bad at your mom's, they are the Asian variety.

  8. Donna, I had no idea. All I know is that they are EVERYWHERE and she can't seem to keep them out.

  10. I'll whine right along with you about those pesky bugs. I still have mowing to do and they love to land on me while I'm doing it. When they bite, it hurts!

I liked Cold Case when it started coming on but I seldom watch tv anymore so I haven't seen it for a while.

I like the header with Sadie. I'm glad she's back to her normal self.

  11. Ugh, these bugs are such a nuisance! I'm batting them out of my hair as I type this actually. I fought them at the clothesline, and while mowing... and now in the house. Thousands always find their way into our old farmhouse. So, Donna, I will whine right along with you on this trivial matter. If you know of any way to rid them besides vacuuming everything in sight, I would forever be indebted :) Ewwww. I just despise them! -Tammy
